MJ Lifestyle Goes Beyond Print—Visualize & Thrive Event Recap
MJ Lifestyle and Just Be Yoga kicked off 2020 with our first plant wellness retreat for women, Visualize & Thrive, Saturday, February 1st at the Luminary Farm in Pleasanton, California. We are thrilled to be evolving beyond print with a new VIP Membership program and experiential events.
“Our goal is to create a safe space for women of all generations to indulge in self-care and learn about plant medicine—for MJ, our warrior plant is cannabis, and she’s the one that needs the most education right now,” says Jennifer Skog, Founder of MJ Lifestyle. “This event was a reminder that as women, we all go through similar challenges and fears and vulnerabilities. We find security and strength in each other. Whatever scares you, know that you can do anything as long as you have your village. Women brought their mothers! The day was absolutely magical.”
Just Be Yoga’s Jenni Wendell led a mindful yoga practice in the chapel while Atlas Edibles chefs Jeremy Weiss and Ezra Malmuth prepared a flavorful plant-based nourishing spread for guests to recharge. The sunshine and fresh air brought the crowd outside to the lawn and cannabis lounge where women journaled, met new friends and enjoyed one of California’s finest flower pre-rolls by Flow Kana.
Women were treated to Mender CBD massage therapy by Brook Rana of Remedy Myotherapy and reiki with Stephanie Zhu and gifted a 3-piece Rose Quartz Gua Sha Set from Gracious Om. Educator Sara Payan spoke on CBD basics and was available to answer personal questions throughout the event. The day wrapped on a high note with a euphoric breathwork healing meditation led by Aria Diana who heightened our senses with sound, scent, and touch into the immersive practice.
Supporters included Just Be Yoga, The Luminary Farm, Atlas Edibles, Mender, Sava, TSO Sonoma, Potli, Remedy Myotherapy, Stephanie Zhu, Gracious Om, Green Bee Botanicals, Flow Kana, Mellows and LA Republica Superfoods.
